Mini Swap — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Mini Swap Co, Inc. ("Mini Swap," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with the Mini Swap mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
 
 
1. Scope
This Policy applies to information we collect from users of the Service. It does not apply to third-party services we link to or integrate with, which have their own privacy practices (see Section 4).
 
 
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account & Profile Information
 

  • Name, email address, and authentication data (via Google Sign-In or email/password)

  • City/region location and self-reported climate zone

  • Per-kid closet information entered by the account holder: name or nickname, gender, current size, style tags

  • Allergen/sensitivity flags (nut, latex, fragrance, dye)

  • Brand preferences

  • Optional Instagram handle, visible only to mutual followers

 
2.2 Listing Content
 

  • Photographs and descriptions of clothing items you list. We do not permit, and ask that you never upload, photographs depicting a child or any other identifiable individual.

 
2.3 Payment Information
 

  • Subscription and credit pack payments are processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment and limited billing metadata (e.g., last four digits of a card, billing region) but do not store full card numbers.

 
2.4 Shipping Information
 

  • Shipping address and tracking data, processed through our shipping partner, EasyPost, to generate labels and confirm delivery.

 
2.5 Device & Usage Data
 

  • App usage and analytics data, device identifiers, IP address, and push notification tokens (via Firebase Cloud Messaging).

 
2.6 Information From Other Users
 

  • Ratings and reviews submitted about you by swap partners.

 
 
3. How We Use Information
We use the information above to:
 

  • operate the matching engine (size, style, allergen, climate, and brand-based matching);

  • process listings, claims, shipments, and credit transactions;

  • process subscription and credit pack payments;

  • facilitate in-app chat and notifications;

  • maintain trust and safety, including reviewing flagged content, ratings, and disputes;

  • communicate with you about your account, transactions, and (where you've opted in) product updates;

  • analyze and improve the Service.

 
We do not use information collected about a child within a parent's account for any purpose other than facilitating matching and listing on that parent's behalf.
 
 
4. How We Share Information
4.1 Service Providers. We share information with vendors who help us operate the Service, including:

These providers are contractually limited to using your information to perform services for us.
 
4.2 Other Users. Your display name, location (city/region), climate tag, style tags, brand preferences, ratings, and listed bundles are visible to other users as part of the core function of the Service. Kid profile information is visible to followers as a named closet (size and style tags only — never photographs of the child).
 
4.3 Legal & Safety. We may disclose information where required by law, to enforce these policies, or to protect the safety of our users, including in response to a valid legal request or a credible safety concern.
 
4.4 Business Transfers. If Mini Swap is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy or a successor policy of which you'll be notified.
 
4.5 We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their own advertising or marketing purposes.
 
 
5. Children's Privacy
5.1 The Service is intended for use by adults (18+) only. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children, and children do not create or operate their own accounts.
 
5.2 Information about a child (name/nickname, size, style tags) is provided voluntarily by the parent or guardian account holder for the limited purpose of listing and matching clothing on the child's behalf. We do not collect or knowingly store photographs of children, and any such image discovered on the platform will be removed.
 
5.3 If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information directly from a child under 13 in a manner inconsistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we will delete that information promptly. Parents who believe this may have occurred should contact us at [PRIVACY EMAIL].
 
 
6. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
We and our service providers use cookies, mobile identifiers, and similar technologies to operate the Service, remember preferences, and understand usage. You can manage some of these through your device or browser settings.
 
 
7. Data Retention
We retain account information for as long as your account is active. In-app chat is retained for 90 days following a completed swap. We retain transaction and payment records as required for accounting, tax, and legal purposes. You may request deletion of your account as described in Section 8; certain records may be retained where required by law.
 
 
8. Your Rights & Choices

  • Access & Update. You can review and update most profile information directly in the app.

  • Delete. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting support@miniswap.co. Earned/purchased credits associated with a deleted account are forfeited, consistent with our Terms of Service.

  • Marketing Communications. You can opt out of promotional emails and push notifications through account settings.

  • California Residents (CCPA/CPRA). You have the right to know what personal information we've collected, request deletion, and request correction. Because we do not sell personal information, there is no sale to opt out of. To exercise these rights, contact support@miniswap.co.

  • EU/UK Residents (GDPR). If applicable to you, you have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port your data, and to object to certain processing. Contact support@miniswap.co to exercise these rights.

 
We will respond to verified requests within the timeframe required by applicable law.
 
 
9. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls on stored data. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.
 
 
10. International Data Transfers
If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate, which may have different data protection laws than your home jurisdiction.
 
 
11. Third-Party Links
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services (e.g., carrier tracking pages). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties.
 
 
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes in-app or by email before they take effect.
